Baby Kenadie

We had a great visit with the littlest person we know last weekend.  Rex and Meadow were both super pumped to hold Baby Kenadie.  Meadow was the best big cousin ever, removing the blanket when Kenadie was fussing from being too hot and Rex was busy introducing her to McQueen and telling her, "I be McQueen and you be King!" as he was handing her some cars.

Need Help!

I went to put Meadow to bed and left Rex downstairs with John. John thought Rex was upstairs with me until he heared, "Need help, Need help." He ran to the kitchen to find Rex leaning over our island and hanging off the side. His hand and face covered in dip that I had left on the counter. Thanks for using your words Rex!

Olympics Here We Come!

Meadow started hockey a couple of weeks ago. So far, she has been two times. The first time was a bit of a disaster because her feelings got in the way. They second time went really great and I think that now we are on the right track.

In The Summertime When The Weather is Fine...

Meadow has proudly completed Sunfish and will now advance to Crocodile.

Mémère bought the whole family Canada Day outfits.

On the days we didn't make it out to the beach, the kids played in the "pool" Travis brought camping.

Great Idea!

Whenever I tell a funny anecdote from my kids people tell me I should write it down. I have created a new Link on the Letkemonsters blog that will do just that. It is called I Should Really Write That One down. ( I know genius! Especially since I stole that exact line from Rachel)
Anyway, it will feature a funny story of something Meadow or Rex will have said or done. I will try to update as I am provided with material. Thanks to Rachel for the great idea! Feel free to add your own funny stories to the comments! I love that stuff!

Meadow's Family Birthday Party

Presents included clothes, a Bratz doll, a Playmobil House, Polly Pockets, a Build-a-Bear Certificate, Littlest Petshops and some cash. Thanks, to all the Aunties, Uncles, Grandma and Grandpa, Matantes and Mémère and Pépère.

Pictures with the Birthday Girl. The cake was an icecream cake from Dairy Queen. Thanks to Deb for picking that baby up!

Meadow's Friends Party

We celebrated Meadow's birthday with her friends on Saturday at the Ecole Elmwood School gym. The kids had lots of fun playing with the gym equipment as well as the play structure outside. We decorated tin cans and and planted flowers in them. Then we sang Happy Birthday with the world's largest Bell cake and opened presents.

Meadow's New Haircut

Sorry I don't have a before picture, I thought about it too late. But here is the result of Meadow giving herself a mullet this afternoon while John was putting Rex to bed. We went to Carrie's house for a quick-but-cute fixer-upper! Thanks Carrie!

Merci Chloe

After the Princess on Ice, my mom was going to return the Belle dress to Chloe who had lent it to Meadow. Chloe decided to give to Meadow because she didn't need it anymore. Meadow was very excited and grateful for the awesome gift. Thanks Chloe, you've made a little princess very happy!
